Agrofood products are perishable with short lifetime and require controlled conditions along the supply chain
The collection of the raw material from the different farmers leads to a technical reduction in the indicated consumption duration, in order to ensure the organoleptic value of the fresh products.
Objectives
TFOOD will serve as an Industry4.0 testbed providing as-a-service the required infrastructure and knowledge for developing, testing and validating digital and Advanced Manufacturing Solutions and IoT in a safe and cost-effective approach for the companies without requiring any significant capital investment from their side.
A shift from the traditional education to an advanced set of methods for developing skills and building digital competences is also provided.
TFOOD will be evaluated and tested in Greek dairy industry pilot application, assisting their digital trans-formation “journey” towards realizing and introducing advanced digital technologies
